Recently I attended an event in Toronto- Holt Renfrew Supports Look Good Feel Better and I wanted to share my experience with you guys. Before I begin, for those of you who are not from Canada, Holt Renfrew is a chain of hi-end Canadian department stores and it stands out for their aesthetic & incredible customer service. I visited the Holt Renfrew store inside the Yorkdale Mall.
Look Good & Feel better is an organization helping women with cancer feel like themselves again for the past 25 years and this events 10% net sales went to LGFB Canada for the same cause. It was a shopping event filled with many fun activities, Dj & of course lots of makeup.
Holt Renfrew Yorkdale’s Beauty team has been extremely warm in the past few years I have shopped from there or attended any of their events. Natasha Fung, the beauty Manager of the department is one of the sweetest , most kindest person I have ever come across, she is extremely professional, friendly & warm at the same time. When I got to the event, she was holding a bag with my name – GARIMA & floral artwork freshly hand painted on it. To me that was the sweetest gesture . Holt Renfrew defintely stands out for it’s excellent customer relations.
The theme of the night was Pink and from Balloons to the decor everything was setup in the shades of Pink & white. Lucky for me I wore a Pink dress to the event and fit perfectly with the decor. On Arrival there was a booth where you could get your photos taken with Pink balloons & the event name in the background. Of course I took many photos & videos there. The hashtag for the night was #MORETHANMAKEUP
The event had some really fun stuff including Spin the Wheel where I won Charolette Tilbury Makeup sample. They also had two painting customization booths : One had the amazing illustrator Annie Naran (@annienaran) paint and personalize Holt Renfrew Tote Bags with your names and a beautiful floral art while the other had Artist Jacqueline Poirier of the @crazyplatelady fame, paint miniature photos & names on perfumes, candles, lipsticks & more. She was making someones dog’s face on a Jo Malone Candle and it was intricately detailed and beautiful. she wrote my name and floral work on my mini Tom Ford lipstick and I am in love with it!
The Dj was playing fabulous new tracks while delicious cookies in the shape of lipsticks were being served to the guests. There was also a Hey Sugar booth which was so pleasing to the eyes with Sakura latte & Sparkling Sakura for the guests to try.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Noelle Von Tesmar who was also wearing a cute Pink sweater which looked perfectly for the event. She was gracious, warm & very welcoming . My work makes me meet such incredible women like her & Natasha and I absolutely love it.
Overall, it was a wonderful evening towards a great cause and I couldn’t be more happier to have been there. Thank you once again Noelle, Natasha & Team Holt Renfrew for making me feel right at home. Looking forward to the future events.
